Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD project (48 months), in the framework of the Young Research Award FAPESP project “Thermoelectricity and thermal transport in topological materials”*, based at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (IF-USP). The project is funded by FAPESP in partnership with the Max Planck Institute of Dresden (CPfS).
In this project, the PhD candidate will take part to sample preparation and characterization, and development of new experimental facilities for the investigation of thermal transport under extreme conditions in Kondo topological insulators. This project takes place within a FAPESP-Max Planck Institute agreement; the candidate will take part to an intense exchange with the Partner Institution in Dresden (CPfS).
REQUIREMENTS: To enroll in the Programme at IFUSP is necessary to present the GRE score or to take part to the EUF test (https://www.ufrgs.br/euf/). For any further information about the application process, contact Prof. V. Martelli.
